Karns City Fifth Graders Celebrate DARE Graduation
Fifth graders at Karns City Area Elementary School celebrated the completion of the DARE program on November 21. Deputy McGrady from the Butler County Sheriff’s Department led the ten-session program, which focused on helping students make wise choices and understand the risks associated with drugs and alcohol.
During the program, students also met Deputy Huffman and K9 Officer Justice, who shared insights into their roles in keeping the community safe. Students wrapped up their experience by participating in an essay contest reflecting on what they learned through DARE.
